‏Professor Abdullah Alkadi, CEO of Abdullah Alkadi Consulting, delivered a knowledge-focused contribution at the Digital Heritage Conference, organized by the Heritage Commission and the Ministry of Culture, through the company’s initiative “Zamkana,” titled:‏“From Historical Cartography to Digital Mapping: Documenting Heritage Sites in Saudi Arabia.”‏The presentation highlighted the role of historical maps in understanding heritage sites and tracing their transformations, and outlined the methodology for converting these maps into accurate digital datasets using GIS enhancing documentation, preservation, and cultural knowledge across education, research, tourism, and culture. This direction reflects the belief that history guides the future, aligning with ‪hashtag#SaudiVision2030‬ and its data-driven cultural ambitions.‏We extend our appreciation to the Heritage Commission and the Ministry of Culture for organizing this event that brings together knowledge and technology in service of national heritage.
