Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, Professor Abdullah Alkadi, CEO of Abdullah Alkadi Consulting, delivered a knowledge-driven contribution through Zamkana as part of the Forum of Best Practices in Mosque Design, organized by the Abdul Latif Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture and Maharib Association.
The presentation, titled “Mosques of Al-Ahsa Through Time: Responding to Time, Place, and Community,” explored mosque architecture as an urban and cultural component that reflects the specificity of place, the continuity of time, and its dynamic interaction with society.
The talk presented future-oriented perspectives rooted in the context of Al-Ahsa, balancing architectural identity with contemporary design standards in mosque architecture. This approach aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in enhancing the quality of the built environment and positioning architecture as a key contributor to cultural identity and sustainable development.
We extend our appreciation to the Abdul Latif Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture and Maharib Association for organizing this forum and for providing a platform for specialized architectural dialogue on the future of mosque architecture.
